U14 Head Coach/Manager – Simon Thomas
U14 is for players born in 2010. Training sessions take place on the main HKFC pitch and Happy Valley Recreational Ground.
The competitive squads compete in the Hong Kong Junior Football League, playing 11-a-side football. This group trains and plays on Saturday mornings and players are selected by pre-season trials and in-season performance. The focus is on developing more advanced skills in players, positional sense and improving strength and fitness in order to play the 11-a-side game. Around 22-24 of the competitive players will be selected to play for our HKFC Lucky Mile team that competes in the HKFA Jockey Club Youth League.
The age group includes a development squad for players who are keen to continue training and playing football, and play occasional friendly matches. The focus here is on continuing to learn the game and develop skills with the possibility of moving into the competitive group.
Normal training time: 11:30-13:00
